Yea, I do only have the windows on two sides. Seems a little weird, but I do have a reason! I wanted the main living space to have a view, but not be overly flooded with light. According to our DAB330 lecture last week a house below the tropic of Capricorn doesn't have direct light on the southern walls.
ReplyDeleteI was originally just going to have windows on the Southern walls, but I decided that the studio was a place for focusing (in my exemplar Casa Tolo the study has no windows!), so I left the southern wall that faces the view with no windows, and put the window on the western wall. This way it will have some light through the day and the evening sunset through the trees!
